Position Overview:
As a Software Development Engineer I on the Client Business Intelligence team, you’ll build products that enable our customers to get insights into their travel data in a timely manner. In this role, you will represent our clients in cross-team solution design discussions on future direction and help shape the future of client BI in business travel.
What You’ll do on a Typical Day :-
- Assist in analysing requirements and collaborating with Product and Engineering teams.
- Help translate functional specifications into technical designs with support from senior engineers.
- Participate in various stages of the product life cycle, including development, testing, deployment, and providing operational support.
- Contribute to the implementation of specific components under supervision.
- Write efficient and maintainable code, and assist in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Learn and adhere to coding standards within the team.
- Support the promotion of best practices, usability, and quality in software development.
- Learn and start utilizing new technologies with guidance.
- Assist in delivering application features by working with internal teams.
- Contribute to the production duties for the services owned by the team: Monitoring, Release Management, On Call.
What We’re looking for :-
- B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/MCA or equivalent degree with at least 1+ years of relevant work experience.
- You are convinced that testing is coding.
- You can drive the technical implementation of projects at various scales, from small to larger projects spanning over several months.
- You are passionate about reviewing your work and others.
- You want to define and improve microservice systems in production that are used daily by real customers.
- You have learned that you build better software in a team that practices agile methodologies.
- You enjoy dealing with complexity in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
- You embrace the DevOps approach as you believe development teams should be responsible for deploying and monitoring their applications with tools such as Kibana, Datadog, GitHub, etc.
- You cannot work without a good CI/CD pipeline based on Maven, Jenkins, Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit, and Git.
